一天，一個女子將一顆夜明珠買給了一家古董店，并對古董店的老板（秦沛）聲稱寶珠之中蘊(yùn)藏有一個重大的密密。事后這個女子被一個不明身份的女殺手（王小鳳）殺死。明仔（張學(xué)友）是一位攝影師。一天古董店老板請明為夜明珠拍張照片，不巧被混入他家的女殺手發(fā)現(xiàn)，殺死了古董店老板并搶走了夜明珠。明一天下班，遇上了一位漂亮女子紅（鐘楚紅），并對她一見鐘情。晚上回到攝影室卻發(fā)現(xiàn)那位女殺手死在他的攝影室內(nèi)，這時警方已趕到兇案現(xiàn)場，就在明走投無路的時候，遇上了紅，紅救了他，并愿意幫他查清此案。明回去取底片的時候，半路遭人打劫，這時那位女殺手又出現(xiàn)了，紅假意幫明引開劫匪，卻趁機(jī)騙走了他的底片，原來她們是一伙的。明非常失忘，但仍很想念紅。后來一次不經(jīng)意巧合中明打聽到了紅的背景，并開始同情她的遭遇，于是明決定盡自己的所能暗中幫助紅，最終紅被明所做的一切感動了。
